This may be my last post...

For tonight I died and went to heaven...

So I am staying up here in Seattle with my hubski. He is setting up for the Seahawks/Giants game this weekend. I get to tag along cause there is no flying involved. It is nice staying in a 4 star hotel and getting pampered like the friggin' queen of Sheba! Tomorrow I have a full day planned what with highlights at 7, the salon. A pedi and a mani. What is a girl to do...

So last night was delicious. We went to The Cheesecake Factory. I never knew one existed. WTF? Nobody told me. Anywho, I had the Hibatchi steak and Wasabi mashed taters with Shitaki shrooma and bean sprouts. DE-LISH. Then for desert (DUH it was THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY for christs sake!) I had NOT cheesecake but something so divine it could only be called a F'ing slice of heaven. I'm talking about Chris's OUTRAGEOUS Chocolate Cake! It was a layer of choco cake, a layer of filling made of coconut and crushed pecan, a layer of cake, a THICK layer of choco coconut CHEESECAKE, a layer of filling again and then another layer of choco cake. Spread another bit of the filling ontop and call it icing and add some chocolate ganache swirls for shits and giggles. HOLY SHIT. It has taken me 3 sittings to finsh the SOB.

Tonight we went to TODAIS! There is one in my town but I had never been. I think I OD'd on snow crab and sushi. TO DIE FOR. It's my new favorite restauraunt. I am entirely too full to blog about it right now, I must go lay down and level out. Tomorrw I think we may try The Melting Pot...a Fondue joint...YIKES! I shall keep you posted!

ALSO in breaking news, Cousin Matt sent me this tid bit. Being a BIG FAN I am upset and don't know how I feel just yet. I'll talk to you about it tomorrow!

Dear republican friend and/or relative,

I love you. Don't misunderstand this letter. I do love you.
It is because I was brought up proper, to love all of God's creatures, that I can forgive you for your transgressions. Why you hate so much is beyond me. You name your hate "patriotism" & "christianity" when in fact is is fear & ignorance. I'm not mad at you, I feel sorry for you. You do not love this country more than I do and you are not a better christian than I am. I don't have the time or energy to discuss the finer points of politics and religion with you any longer. Suffice to say I have more important things in my life to worry about.

Stop sending me right-wing propagand e-mails, they make me sick. It breaks my heart to think you really believe this stuff. Everytime you do, I shall find the truth about whatever it is you are trying to spin, and then forward you (and every person in your cc: list) a copy of said truth.

I do not mind pressing #1 for English. I only wish our fore fathers could have pressed a key on the phone to make their transition into American easier. Unless your name is Pocahontas or Sitting Bull, you too are an immigrant. Oliver North did not warn congress about Bin Laden in the Iran-Contra hearings, and a democrat did not shut him down and ignore the warning. Jane Fonda did not give the POW captors the slips of paper she was handed while visiting the POW camps in Nam either. Please start thinking for yourself. Please stop perpetuating the lies and hate.

I love you, but it's like you are brain washed. You don't even want to hear the truth. You forward this spam like a good conservative robot. I hope you wake up and leave the flock. One day, something will happen to make you change your views...I hope. Until then, know I love you and respect your right to believe whatever you want to believe. State Fair!

My trip to the Orygun State Fair!

When I was a kid we would go to the state fair for my birthday every year. Ride the rides and eat the delicious fair fare. It was a highlight of my youth! I have not been in probably 10 years and this year we decided to make the trip about 1 hour south to the fair. We had so much fun, even though it was 94 degrees, we vowed to return every year from now on and make it an annual event again. I am super stoked. Here are some of my favorite pics from the day.

I can't believe he's gone.

I loved the dude. I love Animal Planet and watched his shows all the time. At least he died doing what he loved to do. He was goofy yeah, but I think he had cojones and most of all passion for something he believed in...and it was something important. His wife Terri was from a town south of here and they got married here. They had the cutest kids too. Especially his daughter Bindi. She was a real firecracker! Just like her Pa. It feels weird to me, almost like freaking Elvis has died or something. I just can't believe it.
